The buds I took shots of on Tuesday are already bursting into action with leaves and wiggly dangly things happening. After googling I found that the tree is an Oak Tree (yay!) and will develop acorns, though not sure how long that process takes, hopefully within the month!
You will note that the sky is not blue, the weather totty on the TV lied her ass off!
I also came across a patch of variegated grass in the middle of the marsh, maybe a discarded plant someone chucked there that’s taken root.
Also poor Phil has had some painful dentistry done, so I made a lovely cottage pie for dinner 🙂
Sunny days are here!! yippee, 🌞🌞😀 Weather forecast great for the next 4 days. I’ll be moaning it’s too hot by Sunday! 😀
Today I went to see my tree and take some pictures of the buds which hopefully will become whatever they are supposed to be before this month ends!
Had to use my 50-230mm cheapo zoom lens, as the branches are too high for me to get them with the macro lens.
This next is my favourite because if you look closely you can see a little spider hiding.
As well as taking pictures in Wardley colliery I also walked through the woods that are between the metro lines and our estate, too many pictures to post separately so here’s a gallery. It was great to see spring shoots on the plants and shrubs along the way, not so cool to see the rubbish left behind by people.
Between our two lives
there is also the life of the
cherry blossom Basho
Love Japanese haiku, and there’s a plethora regarding cherry blossom. My tree is just on the verge of popping it’s blossoms, fingers crossed for some blue skies to contrast it with!
