Day 122~366

It’s exactly 1/3 of the way in to the 366 today and cool that it starts on May 1st. The  theme for this month is The Tree.  In the land over the path in front of out house stands a lone tree, and I’m going to take a different shot of it every day for the whole of May.   The land it’s in is half marshland and half playing field, and there are bushes and plants all around, and wetland ponds too, so as well as the tree I’ll no doubt be recording other things that go on, as…

The Howick Hall Gardens report ~ part 1

Our Indian Summer ended on Friday evening, and Sophie and I had planned on going to Howick Hall Gardens no Saturday. It was foggy and dull grey when we set off, and it remained grey and dull the whole day in spite of  telling each other it might brighten up in a bit. The Sunday Fraggle Report~part 2

As well as taking pictures in Wardley colliery I also walked through the woods that are between the metro lines and our estate, too many pictures to post separately so here’s a gallery. It was great to see spring shoots on the plants and shrubs along the way, not so cool to see the rubbish left behind by people.

Sunday Afternoon

Which it is here at the moment, and quite sunny, but cold now autumn is passing and winter is looming. I’ve had a week off work which is great, but also not so great as it’s the last day and am back to work tomorrow. 😦 I do like not being at work, a lot. The weather has not been so kind though and I have not got out much which is a shame as I’d fancied a few walks with my camera, but I did read a lot, I finished the series of Jack Reacher novels, and am into…
