from Durham to Teeside and now Northumberland, have been getting around this week! Todays shot is of Hadrian’s wall, well part of it anyway, it runs alongside the B6something or other which I was driving upon. ┬áThis bit of wall isn’t as big as some of it that’s left, but it’s the only bit I could see from the road. The Roman Emperor Hadrian built this to keep out the Scottish hordes, who were too unruly even for the Romans, now the Scottish hordes are trying to keep the English out, but am not really sure why, we arn’t unruly at all. čÖé

was back at Marske again today, I posted one from here a couple of days back, but I like the slightly more dramatic sea in this one, and the clouds of course. Processing with Nik FX pro.

So, no subject,~ leading lines leading nowhere, ~I just about managed the rules of 1/3 for the  horizon.  But this is how my day at work panned out photographically speaking, miles and miles around County Durham, ever changing skies, snow blizzards one minute, blue skies and sunshine the next, and sometimes both simultaneously.  I was really pushed for time, so I only took this one shot, and prayed for decent focus and comp. Hand on heart -the horizon was wonky and I had to straighten it and I used color fx pro to bring out the detail in the sky, but this does really look like what I saw from my car window, and I love that my life gives me chances to see this stuff.
