52 Frames ~ Blue ~ 4/10/2020

So. Blue is the theme for this weeks challenge, which presented a problem of decisions for me, as my favourite colour is blue. Sigh. I’ve taken a selection of things and shot them, I could go on all day really but at some point I have to choose one to submit. Special credit for using a blue gel, but I haven’t got any, so I didn’t.

Firstly I have a polaroid 600 camera and placed that on a bluey/grey. background with some polaroid shots of blue skies

I wasn’t really feeling that so I then thought of the illuminated keyboard on the laptop I have.

That seemed a bit so-so to me too so I stole Phil’s denim jacket

that’s a maybe for me, I like the texture and the blue of the denim.

Then I thought about shooting my collection of blue bottles/glassware so firstly a macro

I quite like that one. But then I placed them on my shed studio shelf and used the partial filter setting on the Fuji that blocks out all colours except the one you want (thanks to Hanne over at Dina’s blog for this tidbit of knowledge!)

and I quite like that, but then did a full colour version

And I like that one too sigh. So going to have to get some votes in, starting with Phil, who no doubt will choose his beloved Levi jacket!!

  1. I like the partial-colour blue glass best. I’m amazed you didn’t know aboout that Fuji accessory, I even have it on my humble X-30.
(Annoying that I don’t get notifications of these!)
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. This is so fun, Fraggle! I’ve always loved seeing those cobalt blue bottles. I don’t know why, but they seem to fascinate me. But I’m totally captivated by the blue Polaroid camera with the photos! I love that composition. All of these feel like stories bursting to be told. Sharing! Hugs on the wing.
