Day 117~366

So I got through my long 12 hour day, got home, had dinner, did work updates/emails and then it’s 9.30pm and the last thing I feel like doing is my photo. But you have to push through and get one done at times like this, so I shot some coloured craft beads you string to make bracelets, (it’s a kid thing). Anyway close up they look a bit manky, and if I hd the time I’d scrub them up and start again, but my body is telling me STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND VEG RIGHT NOW!!

Day 31~366

Well that’s January over, and the end of the still life section of the 366, though I guess there may be some in amongst the other themes. I have really enjoyed this month, looking back at the beginning the first few shots were not very interesting, and not that well composed either. After day 5 I seemed to make a leap forward when I started trying to tell a story with the items I was choosing, and then also found out to do the simplest of shots like the flowers in the vases on a windowsill. Quality not quantity

I started my ‘picture a day for 365 days’ 114 days ago, not realising at the time how my working life would change so drastically. I’m working 6 days a week now, and a fair amount of home time is taken up with processing the work, or doing related study etc etc.  Bit by bit my 365 has degenerated into bulk uploads and camera phone shots late at night in desperation to keep it going,  but that’s not the way I wanted to do the 365 and I’m not enjoying it, so have decided to call a halt.
