Eight

WordPress informed me on Wednesday that I have been blogging here now for 8 years. It prompted me to go back to my first posts and have a look at what I was doing back then, and who commented on any posts. For a long time my posts had about 2 or 3 comments 😊 . Then I went looking through all the people who comment now, and in the stats there’s the ability to see when someone started following the blog. Of course there are a great many listed as following who I’ve never seen or heard, so Hi if you’re one of the silent invisible ones, hope you’re doing OK.

Below are all you lovely people who either pop in now and then, or visit regularly. So to all you brilliant authors, artists, photographers, book and movie reviewers, I just want to say thanks for keeping me company on here, informing me, liking my posts, having a laugh and chewing the cud, and on my other 2 blogs if you visit there too, I really appreciate it!

  3. I was just about to head off to sleep but thought, why not check the reader one more time. Glad I did, as this is just one heck of a lovely post to sign off with today! Eight years! That’s one heck of an achievement! 😀
    All I can say is that I’m very glad I’ve met you hear in the blogging sphere, and I’m hoping for many, many more years to come! Lovely post, and congrats on this truly amazing milestone! Here’s to 8 more years and beyond of blogging and friendship!😀😀😀

  4. Oh that’s lovely! You are welcome, your photos are great, and your historical commentary at time hysterically funny while enlightening! I do hope you will be able to get back to it soon, might be a long cold winter for many though. It will pass and we will look back on these days a little wiser and kinder hopefully 🙂

  9. Eight years is no easy feat! Blogging is a demanding mistress and she can get downright nasty when you don’t give her the proper attention. 😉 I’m glad to be following along too.

  11. Congrats! We have been blogging for almost the same time, I started in 2013, but my site got deleted, then I started this another one a few years ago. Nice display you have done with the followers! 🙂

  12. Congratulations on eight years. That’s awesome! Would you believe I started blogging the same year you did and it was eight years for me in February? Like you, my blog has grown from those first scant few comments. I am so thankful for all the friends I’ve met and the bloggers I’ve connected with. Here’s to eight more years and more for both of us. Cheers! And I loved your graphics 🙂

  13. My blogging started in 2012 too, and I passed my 8 years in July.
    I show up on the 2016 list, and was sure I had been following you earlier than that. Funny how memory plays tricks with time. 🙂

    1. I know, I thought you were earlier too, but your comment on my about page is 2016 and that ties in with the stats, so we must be those kind of people who feel like we’ve known each other for ages! Fingers xt we’re both still here in 8 years time!
