It’s cold here in the UK, the summer flowers have gone and the autumn leaves blown away, so let’s take a walk through the estate at Cragside and remember warmer times.
“Plant seeds of happiness, hope, success, and love; it will all come back to you in abundance. This is the law of nature”. Steve Maraboli
“If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere.” Laura Ingalls Wilder
“Nature always wears the colors of the spirit.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.” Albert Einstein
“Just living is not enough. One must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower.” Hans Christian Anderson
“In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks.” John Muir
“Study nature, love nature, stay close to nature. It will never fail you.” Frank Lloyd Wright
“On earth there is no heaven, but there are pieces of it.” Jules Renard
“Time spent amongst trees is never wasted time.” Katrina Mayer
“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.” Lao Tsu
“The family is one of nature’s masterpieces.” George Santayana

It’s another grey day here, so a blast of summer sunshine is welcome.

Lovely photos, FR. For a change, it is so bright here, that reflection on the monitor made it hard to see them. 🙂
I had to twist the scree round to get the full effect.
Best wishes, Pete.

Nice to have a bit of sunshine! Back to gloom tomorrow for us at least.

We had gloom all afternoon after I wrote that, and it’s still raining tonight. 😦

Thank you for sharing such magnificence with us. To share back, another quote for your collection, Ralph Waldo Emerson’s “The earth laughs in flowers.”

Thanks for taking us on a tour from warmer times. Some those rhododendrons you have captured are huge! I am almost spellbound by the one in the third to last photo. Like an overgrown bonsai.

The photos were taken at the end of the blooming season Otto, we are hoping to go back at peak bloom time next year!
