Leaving history behind more or less, we had a wander around the modern (ish) town centre, though that still had a lot of tudor buildings around the square. Some random shots were taken along the way.

Phil got to re-visit his boyhood.

I think that will do for now. All the photos are embiggenable if you click on them to see them better.
Stay tooned for more adventures.
I used to love The Victor comic! Halcyon days…
You should have bought that unicorn! 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

Phil bought a few for the boy grandchild, he wasn’t impressed sadly 🙄 I like the quirkies when I come across them, can’t have too many in the world but there’s not enough.

Your photos brings the city to life. Was taken a little aback by the combination of Frida and the pink flamingo. Not what I usually think of together. 🙂

A strange juxtaposition I concur!

Looks like a cool town. I liked the suit of armor best but the full sized zebra was also a good choice!

Nice shots. “The Town Fryer” is such a great name for a chippie, better than the Codfather 🙂

I think equal merit! (somewhere I have a picture of the Codfather chippy!!)

There seems to be several Codfathers in the Brighton & Hove area, so the joke wears a bit thin after a while!
