Seal Sands is part of the Teesmouth Nature Reserve (previous 3 posts) and is home to both seals, and the pro-chemical industrial site. After we’d done the nature walk, Sophie and I went off to see the seals and the industrial bit.

we had interesting clouds coming over
After we got chucked out of the industrial site 🙂 we went off to see the transporter bridge ~ for anyone who saw Auf Wiedersehen Pet, it wasn’t really sold to the native Americans of Arizona, 🙂 it’s still in Middlesborough, but that’s for the next post.
Stay tooned!
That industrial complex is a powerful sight, compared to the peaceful seals. I hope it doesn’t pollute the water!
Best wishes, Pete.

The seals are so cute, always a treat for sore eyes, aren’t they. 💕
Absolutely superb photos of the industrial complex. Well done. Powerful indeed.

I love seals, they are so fragile… Compared to the powerful image of the industrial complex, it makes seals even more innocent… I wish the world was a peaceful place full of love! Lately, I’ve been to Venice and I love how time stopped there…

Whenever I see seals, I feel like I could watch them all day.

And I remember coming here as part of a school field trip that involved visiting both the industrial complex and the beach. There’s a certain irony in a protected nature reserve being almost entirely surrounded by heavy industry. Lovely shots of the seals.
