Popped up to Penshaw’s Monument this evening, as I’d read they have a new cost efficient LED lighting system for it. Β It used to be lit up with static yellow lamps, but now the colours move around the monument, tried to get them all in but even on a long exposure I missed getting the green in!
Day 351~366

Green or not, it still worked really well!
Best wishes, Pete.

Perfect photograph, although I am not fan of multicolored lights in old buildings as this neo-classical one. It looks as nice in real life as in your photograph? π

Thanks Francis, it does look as nice in real life, it dominates the landscape and the views from it around are magnificent, though it’s been long time since I got up there.

Beautiful photo. This looks quite a bit like the Greek Parthenon?

Its a half-sized replica of the Temple of Hephaestus in Athens. Built in 1844 π Cheers FD.

I never saw it before, but I bet this is far nicer than the static lights – very nice!

Thanks, some people think it’s a bit gaudy now, but I like it. π
