The Newcastle Upon Tyne report ~ part 2

Part 1 HERE 🙂

I did manage to do a bit of ‘street’, though I love colour too much to be like the cool dudes who B&W street candids. Also mine never look as good somehow! So, in colour, some people of Newcastle.

The lady on the right wasn’t with them!

In Eldon Square they had a big TV up showing movies for free, and had put out deckchairs  under the monument for people to sit in while they watched..I guess like a drive-in, only you walk in.

Tried to get some candids of this lady as I thought she was quite beautiful, but this is the best I managed.

Of course Newcastle’s back streets are perfect for a Tiki bar with beach terrace. NOT! 😀

  1. Wow, I’d love to do this walk with you Fraggy. What a bohemian looking place. And I love the “walk” Inn;)
Our village did that one summer when the lift bridge was being repaired , so the village was.. Pretty much cut in 2.

  2. People there uses so exotic and strange clothes! and there are some peculiar combinations, even they look a bit like dark latinos for the use of some colors and design with flowers (or at least as a native the way I see latinos here), I purchased on Ebay some elegant ties from the UK, but when they arrived they were made in Turkey XD!
Thank you for a fascinating cultural trip of discovering kind lady ☺

  3. I think street photography doesn’t have to be in black and white. And you proved that, Fraggy. I feel a bit threatened by the window shot with all the scissors and blades. But the Bier Keller brings me back to “relax” status. Thanks for sharing this fab series. And continue swimming against the stream of b&w street photography. Greetings. Reinhold

    1. Yes Jay, the films being shown were Shaun the Sheep at midday, then Love Aaj Kal (never head of it) at 5pm. The sound was quite loud 🙂 but then there were only adverts on when we walked by.

  4. Two wheelie bins about to joust – lol – so clever 🙂
Favorite street scene — the lady just outside of the barber shop (Jack and Diane).
    Cheers!
