poppies

“And far and wide, in a scarlet tide, The poppy’s bonfire spread”.

Poems of the Orient–The Poet in the East  ~ Bayard Taylor

I found a beautiful field of poppies today, and then I found a most beautiful poem that reminded me of my friend Francis.

Field of poppies
Field of poppies
Pop!
Pop!

I had read about Longfellow but usually I don’t read poetry, besides Borges and the poems of poets here in WordPress poetry is away from me, but that poem is so beautiful that I’m ordering his complete works to my kindle app, what it’s easy because legally it costs 0.00 dollars 😉
Every time I’ll read to Longfellow I’ll think with gratitude in you, thanks kind lady ^_^
