The Warkworth Report ~ Village edition

At last the final set of photo’s from Warkworth! (previous post HERE )

After the Hermitage we walked back along the river and reached the village, which is very picturesque and tidy.

Firstly we went off to visit the church

the grounds were cool too, with one 16th century grave of a chap known as ‘The Hunter”

after the church, we went to lunch and then walked up the hill back to the castle.

On the way home we stopped off at Amble marina to see the boats, but the weather was not so good by then and we didn’t stay long,

All in all a great day out.

Back to work tomorrow, but still lots of days out photo’s processed and ready to go, it’s been great to go so many places and see some fabulous sights, have had a lovely holiday with the Fuji XT1, and especially with my hubby.

  3. It’s great that you combined b&w photos with sepia toned photos and macro photos in full technicolor 🙂 I especially like the the soft focus on the “bells”, and the flowers in the window look like their asking to go out and play 🙂

  5. Sorry I’m a little late getting here, but I wanted to enjoy it… With. Cuppa…u know;). I could SO see myself walking these cobbled roads.. Oh Fraggy you so lucky to have all this history. I am just devouring every morsel you post. Your captures, are eye candy for my soul;)!!!!! I’m looking forwRd to the next edition!!!!!!

    And that grave of the Hunter seems to have an interesting tale behind the name in one’s imagination.
